Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of skipthegift.com. By using the site, you agree to them.
skipthegift.com provides a tool for creating a page that parents can share with friends and family. Each page displays a message and contribution details supplied by the page creator.
We do not process, collect, hold, or distribute contributions. Any contributions are made directly between contributors and the page owner using the payment details shown on the page.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a page. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, lawful, and appropriate to share.
You are responsible for all information you submit and publish on your page, including any payment instructions (for example IBAN, account details, Revolut links, or other contribution instructions). You confirm you have the right to share this information and that it is accurate and lawful.
Your page may be accessible to anyone you share the link with. You are responsible for who you share your page link and private edit link with. If someone else gains access to your private edit link, they may be able to edit or delete your page.
You agree not to use skipthegift.com to publish or distribute content that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive, or to engage in harassment, abuse, or threats, or to infringe another person’s rights (including privacy or intellectual property rights).
We may remove content, disable access to pages, or restrict your use of the service if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or if we are required to do so by law.
Contributions are made directly to the page owner using third-party payment methods such as bank transfer or Revolut. skipthegift.com is not a payment processor and is not a party to any transaction.
Any disputes regarding contributions (including claims that a payment was sent or not received) must be resolved directly between the sender and the recipient and, where relevant, the payment provider or bank.
skipthegift.com does not verify payments, does not confirm receipt of contributions, and does not mediate disputes. If a contributor claims they paid but the page owner claims they did not receive it, the parties must resolve the issue with each other and, where relevant, their bank or payment provider.
A one-time fee may be charged to create a page. This fee covers page creation and hosting and related functionality.
The service is delivered immediately upon successful creation of a page. Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued only at our discretion in cases of technical failure that prevent the page from being created or accessed.
After creation, the page owner receives a private edit link. This edit link is required to manage the page.
The baby’s name can be changed for a limited time after it is first set. Other page content, such as the message and contribution details, may remain editable.
Pages are automatically removed after 12 months to minimise data retention. Deleted pages cannot be restored.
You are responsible for saving your private edit link and keeping it secure. We cannot recover lost edit links.
If you have your private edit link, you can delete your page at any time from the edit page.
If you want your page removed and you no longer have your private edit link, request removal by email:
- Email: support@skipthegift.com
- Subject: Remove my page
- Include one of the following so we can verify you created the page:1) Your private edit link, or
2) Your page link plus the email address used at checkout, or
3) Your page link plus your Stripe receipt (screenshot or forward)
If verified, we will remove the page and it will show as “Page not found”.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also update these terms from time to time.
Continued use of the site after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
skipthegift.com is provided on an “as is” basis. We make no guarantees regarding availability, reliability, or suitability for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from user-provided content, payments made outside the platform, disputes between contributors and page owners, unauthorized sharing of links by users, or service interruptions.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to the amount you paid to create the page.
